Crazy P-day, North Korean food, Tons of English Teaching and Progressing Investigators

9/16/17

So, I have very little time to write this today. It was a crazy busy day today. In the morning we taught an investigator, Sister Da, at the church. She is doing great and will be baptized next week.

For the rest of our day, we went on this crazy adventure into the middle of nowhere. We went searching for a cave that we never made it to. However, we did make it out to this way cool place with amazing views and it was really a fun day.  We probably biked close to 80 kilometers today.  (More pictures below.)

Also, on Friday we ate dinner at a restaurant owned by the North Korean government. It was a way fun trip. The waitresses were from North Korea and everything.

We taught a lot of English this week.

All of our investigators are doing great!

The new Elders are great. We don't have the new place yet so two people have to sleep on the coach or the hammock every night. It is temporary but very inconvenient. New Elders will also come up next transfer on the 19th of October. So, we will have six for a little bit before I go home.

I wish I had a lot more time to talk about the last week.

One funny story: There is a funny thing that people do here. Whenever people eat food in public they always say "Eat Food" as you are walking by them. They say it in Lao but it is confusing at what they are actually saying. You don't know if they are extending an invitation to eat with them or if they are just simply stating a fact. After talking to a few people about it they said they don't even know what they are saying or why they are saying it. It is just their culture to say that, if you are eating food and other people walk by. Just one of those cultural things!
